Nick & Joy were first introduced by mutual friend Timothy Parker aka Gift Of Gab from Blackalicious during the making of Gab’s album “Finding Inspiration Somehow” produced by Andre. Gab invited Joy over to record the hook on his track “Enter The Dragon ”. After that session Joy and Nick kept in touch and began sharing tracks and working on what would become Fever Dream. The two began recording at Nicks studio and then the world went into lockdown due to Covid 19. After lots of phone calls and facetime sessions the two were able to finish the album remotely. The result is a bass heavy collection of tracks layered with analog synths, heavy drums and lush vocals. Joy and Nick would like to dedicate this album to the memory of their dear friend Timothy Parker, Without him this record would have never existed.
