Label mainstays Potatohead People are coming through with some future jazz heat for the second single ahead of the ‘20 Years of Bastard Jazz’ anniversary compilation. “Bonzai View” harkens back to the live instrumentation and technical prowess explored in last year’s outstanding ‘Mellow Fantasy’ LP, fused with a head-nodding boom-bap beat the duo is known for. The new track comes hot off some major releases for Potatohead People, including a DJ Jazzy Jeff & Kaidi Tatham remix of the group’s De La Soul collaboration, and production credits on a song from Phife Dawg’s critically acclaimed posthumous album with Illa J, which has just seen a brand new remix featuring Redman.
